Watching TV without LED Interference

Sound bar is on, hold the key “3D/LED OFF” on the sound bar remote control, LED display showing will be closed. Press any button on the remote control will wake up LED display.

The red LED will light up after the sound bar is switched off, press the “3D/LED OFF“ button on the sound bar remote control, the red LED will close.

Note: Check that the battery has enough power., open the battery cover and place the batteries with correct direction as “+, -” mark on PCBA. There will be no power for a new battery with long storage.

HDMI ARC Connection

1.Must be HDMI ARC port on your TV instead of any one HDMI port.

2.Set audio output format to be “PCM” and “HDMI-CEC” to be “ON” for your TV.

3. Briefly pressing “ARC/COA” on the sound bar remote control.

4.Select the type of audio output to be “ARC” on TV.

Optical Connection

1.Set the audio output format on the TV to “PCM”;

2. Insert the optical cable with the correct direction (note the chamfered features of the cable terminal) into both sound bar and TV, connect both ends of the cable firmly with a click sound.

3.Select the optical input by briefly pressing “Optical” on the sound bar’s remote control.

4.Select the type of audio output for TV.

Soundbar Setting Memory Function

1. After Turning off the sound bar, input source (bluetooth, optical, HDMI ARC, coaxial, Aux), Sound mode ( Music, movie, news, game), volume, will be memorised without resetting.

2. After Turning off the sound bar, the manual setting (Treble +/-, Bass +/-) will be memorised without resetting.

Important FAQ:

Q1. There is no sound from the soundbar while watching TV.

A: If there’s no sound from the sound bar with an optical or HDMI ARC connection to the TV, some settings on your TV are missing, Please check the following:

1. For either connection, the audio output format on your TV must be set to ‘PCM’;

2. For HDMI ARC connection, “HDMI CEC” must be set to “ON” on your TV. Some TVs require you to set “HDMI Input Audio Format >PCM” if it is available.

Please note, there are different setting option for the various model of the same brand, there is a generic setting reference for each TV brand on the “Quick Start Guide”.

3. For TV Setup, TV Box Setup, Movie APP Setup, please read the “Quick Start Guide” (a manual provided with a simple version), or download the Troubleshooting (detailed version) in the product link where is “Product Guides and Documents”, it will be continuously updated.

4. If the software upgrade is processing on your TV, there is no sound, please complete the upgrade and try again. It should be better to close the option of “Auto upgrade” on your TV.

Q2: The sound is often cut off via the HDMI ARC connection.

A:1. Make sure the HDMI cable is firmly inserted into the HDMI ports on the TV and the soundbar;

2. Check if there is any setting missing on the TV, such as enabling “HDMI CEC”;

3. Unplug the power cord from the TV and soundbar, then plug it after a few minutes;

4.For some TV, there is a compatible issue, please change to optical connection and try again.

5. Check whether there is a software upgrade in process on your TV, it should be better to close the option of “Auto upgrade” on your TV.

6. Get a software from us to proceed upgrade.

Q3: Remote control is not working.

A: 1. Confirm the installation direction of the battery, open the battery cover of the remote control, there is a “+”, “-” symbol on the PCBA surface.

2. Check that the battery cover of the remote control is firmly closed.

3. Check that the battery has enough power. Although you may have a new battery, it will have no power because it has been stored for too long. Please take a good battery with power from the remote control of another device to test again.

4. Check as above steps, remote control is not working too, get a new remote control with free from us.

Q4: I don’t like the sound or it’s distorted.

1. We try to balance bass and vocals in the mid and high frequencies. If the sound is distorted, please reduce the volume on the soundbar or increase your distance from the soundbar.

2. there are so many different types of instruments that it is difficult to fully account for the sounds that different instruments make. Please change a song or TV programme and try again.

3. we have continuously improved the sound effect, we have a different version of the software to meet the different requirements, and you can have the customised sound to suit for your preference. All you need is a USB memory and a computer to update the software.

Q5: The remote control of the soundbar could control another device, or the remote control of another device could control the soundbar.

A: 1. In order to avoid interference with each other among different devices, the remote control of Heymell soundbar is designed with hexadecimal code. But there are too many devices are controlled by infrared remote control, it is difficult to avoid the interference for some buttons or functions.

2.We will send you a remote control with different code, and perform a software upgrade, the issue will be solved.
